TAUCHI is a unit in the Department of Computer Sciences at the University of Tampere, Tampere, Finland.

TAUCHI carries out multidisciplinary research into human–technology interaction and its development harmonizing the potential of technology with human abilities, needs, and limitations. See TAUCHI's mission.

TAUCHI currently has four research groups, each dedicated to specific research areas inside Human-Computer Interaction:

ESC - Research Group for Emotions, Sociality and Computing
Basic research on human emotions.

MMIG - Multimodal Interaction Research Group
Research in the advantages of new interaction technologies, such as haptic interaction and auditory feedback.

SPI - Speech-based and Pervasive Interaction Group
Studies speech and audio based applications and mobile and ubiquitous systems.

VIRG - Visual Interaction Research Group
Researches visual interaction techniques.
